Blue Bear Quilt’s patterns, and kits, are designed to be easy to put together. This patriotic lap sized, 70.5″ x 60.5,” quilt is made from 2.5” strips that are sewn together to form a tube and then cut the tube to form the 5.5” squares. There is a kit available in our store where the strips and borders have been precut for you making this quilt a breeze to put together. If you can sew a straight 1/4 inch seam, you can make this quilt. This pattern creates a patriotic quilt which is excellent to snuggle up with during an American Election year. This quilt is non-partisan and perfect for Democrats, Republicans, or Independents. It would be great for any patriotic holiday such as Memorial Day, the 4th of July, or Veteran’s Day. It uses fabrics designed for Quilts of Valor (QOV) and thus would be the perfect pattern for donating a quilt to U.S. military service members and/or veterans who have been touched by war. It would look fantastic draped over a chair, or sofa, in a modern loft or apartment. It would also be welcomed for any occasion that you want to give a gift such as a birthday, college dorm room, or for a new home.
